As an LS2 Member…

- Around 400 participants, plenary speakers, multiple scientific symposia, workshops, poster sessions, award ceremonies, social events, etc.
You are eligible for Travel Grants for PhD students for up to 1400 CHF!
You become a member of our affiliated societies:

- You are eligible for their conference travel grants
You benefit from events organized by our partner societies or collaborators:

You will also receive regular newsletters and social media updates.
Important!
Our memberships are tied to a calendar year - the membership automatically renews on the 1st of January of each year!
Membership bills for the current year are sent out between January 1 and October 15.
Members joining after October 15 are only billed for the following year.
E.g., if you join on October 20, 2025, you will be billed for year 2026 and will not receive an invoice for 2025.

Termination of the Membership
Termination of the membership has to be done by the 1st of October of the previous year by simply sending an email to info@ls2.ch. For example, to cancel your 2027 membership, you must notify us by 01.10.2026.
If the membership is not terminated by this deadline, it will be automatically extended and you will be billed a membership fee for the following year.

"Thanks to you (LS2), I could do my postdoc in well known lab, land a job in the pharma and get the job I have today. The LS2, back then named SwissPhysio, granted me money to travel to the US twice. The presentations needed to get the grants, the posters needed to be developed, and the data discussions with well-known researchers taught me how to put my data in context and how to defend it. This allowed me to get grants from multiple sources to finance a post-doc in a very good lab. 5 years later I chose to move into pharma mainly to ensure financial stability for my growing family. I could have chosen a research position in the US, but declined, as scientists had little chance to get any professorship. I started as a clinical pharmacologist, then as clinical trial lead, then as science director and soon as franchise head. Without the learning associated with the initial grant, the pieces of the puzzle would not have aligned like they did. I do believe that academia is the fuel of pharma and that LS2 must not only continue, but actually do even more to position our young researchers in the global market."
